Sharon Hansen-Barnett has been restoring furniture and homewares since 1994. She loves the quality of timber and construction used in times past, and enjoys the hunt and rescue of a great old piece.

Sharon has enjoyed living in the Victorian High Country since 1992, and Bridge Creek (10 minutes from Mansfield) from 2003, on a small rustic property, which allows plenty of room for accumulating broken old furniture and homewares just waiting to be refreshed.

Her finds don’t have to be 'antique', there are a lot of 'vintage' items that have the beauty, charm and character to warrant some loving time spent on them to rejuvenate and prolong their life.

“Many of the timbers used in the past are now rare or no longer available.”

“I can’t bear to see them discarded just because an item is a bit rickety. I also like to think I’m doing my small bit to contribute to a more sustainable world.”

As much as possible Sharon uses natural products, and environmentally friendly methods to bring back the unique beauty of each item.
